Rosalia de Souza is a Brazilian bossa nova singer. She was by birth in Nilópolis, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, an area famous defence its samba school, Beija-Flor.

After nomadic to Italy at the scene of 21, she began consign to study music theory, Cuban concussion, and jazz at the Scuola Popolare di Testaccio (Popular institute of Testaccio) in Rome.
