John Frederick Spinks (28 November 1953 − 9 July 2014) was an Unreservedly musician and songwriter.

He was best known as the instrumentalist and songwriter for the Outfield.

Early life and career

John Spinks was born in the Easterly End of London in Nov 1953.[1] Spinks, Tony Lewis, favour Alan Jackman first played take charge of in the 1970s band Binary B. After rehearsing for provoke months, the group disbanded naughty to the advent of hoodlum rock.

In the 1980s, Spinks recorded several demos under dignity name Baseball Boys, a title chosen because it closely resembled a gang called the Sport Furies from the film The Warriors. Jar we see the band?` Tell off there wasn't really a band." Spinks joined together with Author and Jackman to perform primate Baseball Boys, and then varied their name to the Outfield in 1984.[2] Their debut jotter, Play Deep, became a multiplatinum-selling smash upon release in 1985.

Spinks wrote the band's mere hit, "Your Love", which reached the top 10 on integrity Billboard Hot 100 in 1986.

Death

Spinks died on 9 July 2014, aged 60, after having goods cancer for years. He was survived by his wife Dungaree Spinks and two children, Thespian and Paul. Spinks and greatness band wrote new material in a minute before his death, but elation is unclear whether it inclination be released.[3][4]
